Why won’t iTunes Store work anymore?

No Comments

Question:
Everything on my iTunes works fine except for the store. It just started about a week ago. Like every time I go to iTunes Store it will be loading and then it will be done and the page will be blank. How can I fix this! Please help!

Answer:
You can re download the application from apple.com and install it again. Also make sure that your internet connection is up and running and also that you don’t have any firewalls up that may prevent the iTunes store from contacting the apple servers. Best of luckI would try the itunes help forums. Don’t uninstall iTunes unless you are really sure you know what you’re doing or you’ll just make things worse. There are multiple files you have to uninstall along with iTunes, which is why I want you to make sure you know what you’re doing first.

So try the help forum there and see if they have a suggestion that will fix you up without you having to uninstall everything:

How can I download pictures for free that you have to pay for?

No Comments

Question:
theres pictures of me on a website, that were taken of me and my friends. and they want you to pay for them. i do not want to pay for them, i just want to copy or download them for free. there must be some way. i cant copy them or anything. i dont care if they say proof on them

Answer:
If you can see the picture, you can right-click on it and save it to your system. The picture won’t be at a very good resolution, though. Screen resolution runs at about 72 dpi, and resolution for a picture to print clearly needs to be around 300dpi.if you can see the picture but cant copy it, press the PrintScreen button on your keyboard, then open up Microsoft Paint and paste the picture there. then save it as a .jpg or whatever you want. Done!just get a screen capture program here is one i made myself use this and just take a picture of itDo they have your permission to post them (did you sign a “model release”)? If not, demand that they provide you with copies of all the pictures posted that include you so that you can decide whether to allow them to keep the pictures on their site (or whether you’re going to sue them for invasion of privacy). Having an attorney write the letter on his stationary is even more impressive.

You’ll get the pictures without any objection. (Even if they just remove the pictures, you can sue, which [you let them know] you will if they remove the pictures.)

They stole something from you and they’re charging you to get it back – that’s what it amounts to. You’re in a VERY nice legal position.

Can I take this sticker off my laptop?

No Comments

Question:
It’s a sticker that says the brand and model and then a hyphenated number… and then highlights some of the features like high-speed wifi, one-touch keys, etc.

Answer:
of course you can, you own it, don’t you? but if you ment if you need it for something, that number may be a serial number or something. i’d write it down before i removed it, just in case.Of course you can! You own it, therefore you have to right to modify it as you please.Yeah, I’m guilty of always taking that sticker off. Best Buy never said anything about it being missing when I brought my laptop in with power issues.

However, I recommend putting the sticker in a safe place. Just in case.so long as it isn’t the software key (for windows 7 say) on the bottom of the computer then you can. I haveConcentrated orange cleaner will remove the adhesive residue.

I always clean the stickers and human oils off all repaired/restored laptops with that stuff, makes them all shiny new looking with a clean scent.

Free video-making program, no downloading?

Question:
I have Windows Movie Maker and it won’t let me import my iTunes music onto the soundtrack so I’m pretty much fed up with it and don’t want to have to mess with the crap anymore. I can’t download anything because the computer I use is actually my grandma’s and she doesn’t want me downloading anything so she’s blocked the whole business. So, I need something that doesn’t need to be downloaded and that is free since I can’t make online purchases (don’t ask) and so, any suggestions. I know, I sound like an idiot because there aren’t many online movie makers that are free without download but now that you see my problem if you have any ideas please give me the link. Thanks.

Answer:
If you can’t download it you can’t run it. There’s no online movie maker that lets you import protected audio. (Any site that allowed that would be shut down in minutes.)http://moviemakeronline.com/

i just searched for them,idk if it works though

Question:
Imports System.Net.Mail
Public Class Form1

Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
Try
Dim smtpServer As New SmtpClient(“smtp.hotmail.com”)
Dim Mail As New MailMessage()
smtpServer.Credentials = New Net.NetworkCredential(TextBox1.Text, TextBox2.Text)
smtpServer.Port = 587
smtpServer.Host = “smtp.hotmail.com”
smtpServer.DeliveryMethod = SmtpDeliveryMethod.Network
smtpServer.EnableSsl = True
Mail.From = New MailAddress(“Dmangoubi@hotmail.com”)
Mail.To.Add(TextBox1.Text)
Mail.Subject = TextBox3.Text
smtpServer.Send(Mail)
Catch Ex As Exception
MsgBox(Ex.Message)
End Try
End Sub
endclass

It is supposed to be code for an email sender. When I try to send a message, it tells me that the error is “Failure sending mail.” I don’t understand why.

Answer:
I think the problem in SMTP server “smtp.hotmail.com”, because hotmail and yahoo stopped SMTP since a while.

You can use SMTP in gmail, it’s work.

How to get rid of BearShare Search popping up on my tabs?

No Comments

Question:
I recently installed the music sharing program BearShare. To make the long story short, it sucks so I removed it. The problem now is that when I open a new tab on Firefox, the BearShare search engine opens up immediately… I hate this.

I have uninstalled the program. I have uninstalled the search engine and toolbar from Firefox (I don’t even know how it all got set there, coz it didn’t ask me if I wanted to install it, to which I would have said NO!!!)

So, please help. Any ideas on how to make my tabs go back to opening up in a blank page…???

Thanks.

Answer:
1) Go to internet options/preferences in Firefox and make sure you changed your home page/new tab page back to whatever you wanted it to be.

2) If that doesn’t work, download and install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware program (the free version) to get rid of any virus/spyware/annoying crap that the program put on your computer. Make sure to update the program before running it though! Link: http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Scanner won’t connect to application?

No Comments

Question:
So, I have a pic I want to scan and upload to my computer. I’ve used the scanner to upload pics before plenty of times and it’s all worked fine. I haven’t updated my computer or scanner since the last time. Now, I’ve connected my scanner to my computer the way I always do and opened up Image Capture (the app I use to scan the pictures, that I’ve used every time) and it says that the scanner isn’t connected. I’ve pulled out the USB and plugged it back in, shut down my computer and turned it back on, left my laptop alone for a while, and did things other than scanning on my computer to try and make it work, and none did. My scanner is connected to my printer (which it always has been), and the printer is a Dell Laser MFP 1600n. My computer is a Mac OS X 10.6.6 notebook. If anyone could help me, that’d be great. Thanks in advance!

Answer:
You will need to re-install the scanner software. When you updated it, it didn’t update the scanning software which is why it isn’t working. Re-install the software and it should work afterward.

Will windows XP 32 bit OS support a 4GB DDR3 DIMM?

No Comments

Question:
>I don’t see any reason why not. DDR3 is just DDR2 RAM that has been sped up, if you read carefully, you will find out I am right. To use DDR3 you either have to have an AM3 motherboard for AMD cpu’s or one of the i7/i5/i3 boards. I just haven’t got a clue why anyone would want to try and run XP on hardware like that which is a terrible waste of hardware efficiencies. But to answer your question, yes, it should work.

Be able to have a 4gb stick and be able to start up? Yes.
Be able to put in a 4gb stick and get use of 4gb of ram? No

First off, no matter what OS, you need to make sure: 1) your motherboard supports a 4gb stick in 1 slot(most do, but if its older it might not). 2) you motherboard supports the type(ddr3) and the speed of the ram.

And 32bit does not mean a max of 4gb of ram, its 4gb of all system memory(this also includes dedicated video cards. ie a 1gb video car would leave you o about 2.8gb of ram that you can access). if your motherboard supports is, id suggest a 64bit OS. But ive heard xp 64bit sucks, get win7 :) Windows XP 32bit will only support up to 3GB of RAM. You can put the 4GB into your motherboard (whether its one 4GB stick or two 2GB sticks) but Xp 32 bit will only use up to 3GB.
64 bit would do it, but there are other challenges with that.

XP should run great with 3GB of RAM for most computing needs.

Question:
My Index Rating Score on my brand new custom built desktop is 1.0.

My Proccesor is 7.5

My Ram is 7.5

My Graphics is 1.0

My Gaming Graphics is 1.0

My Primary Hard Drive Disk is 5.9

What have I done wrong D:

Answer:
You are running on the generic VGA windows driver.Download and install the video cards driver from the manufactirersounds like you just don’t have the right driver installed for your video card. go to the mfgr’s website.The index rating score simply takes the lowest score of any of the tested devices and uses that – it’s hardly sophisticated. If you don’t play games then don’t worry about it but it may be worth seeing if your video is using the latest driver for it.either you dont have the right driver or you purchaced a crap graphics processor. You also should have gotten a SSD instead of a Hard Disk Drive.

As far as I know, a Mac Pro running Win7 is the only machine that can achieve a rating of 10 all the way through. I’ve never seen a PC do it.you really need to list some specs. the windows experience more or less tells you how up to date the hardware is and as far stress testing and bench marking it’s useless (although it does some testing). while i don’t know what you have, 1.0 in the gaming is horrible. you doing a custom build, i seriously doubt it’s that bad. you should try a different driver or consider a different card (if it is that bad). it doesn’t sound right though. note, my desktop is running a 2600 pro (yeah, there are much better cards out there. i know already) i do some mild gaming (you would be surprised at whit that card can do btw) it works alright for what it is. it scores less on the windows experience than my wife’s laptop running gma 4500. while it works, gaming is not an option for her machine. that said, i personally have my doubts about the windows index.

to the mac guy, ssd might be overkill. not to mention the limits of rewrites that a ssd would have. the idea that a macbook pro is the only perfect machine out there is just silly. as one could get everything that is up to date assuming they wanted to spend the money to get that score. the lateest and greatest is not limited to mac products.

My friends computer sends me and all her contacts strange emails containing virus sites ?

No Comments

Question:
what should she do to fix this problem?

Answer:
tell her to change her passwordTell your friend to install a good Internet Security Suite and run a thorough scan of her computer.If she does not have a anti-virus program she should get one. Also have her go to download.com and get the free version of Malwarebytes anti-malware. Download, install, and update it. Then run a full scan. Remove all items it finds. Run a full scan with the anti-virus program also. Now change password on her email account.There are two possibilities here.

1. The spam industry has somehow “acquired” her e-mail password and is using it to send junk mail by accessing her provider’s e-mail servers using her password.

The solution…..she needs to change her e-mail password to a strong one of at least 10 characters…she should use both upper and lower case letters and throw in some numerals and punctuation marks too

2. Her computer has become infected by an e-mail worm and has turned her own computer into an illicit e-mail server.

The solution… she should perform a full system scan with both her anti-virus and anti-spyware softwares. Quarantine whatever they find.
